steam home doesnt support gamepads. so run the game from your desktop
ALVR is passing some input to Steam VR home from the Go controller (I can teleport around, I have pointer control). The dashboard has also come up randomly, and I can interact with it. If not now, request some way to bring up the dashboard and launch games remotely.
if you have go controller i think you should be able to launch games from steam home. i dont own one so cant be dure
The dashboard is shown when you press "System" button. If you don't use FreePIE, you can assign Go's trigger button to System button to open the dashboard.
But, If I remember correctly, v2.1.5 has a bug about interact with the dashboard. (No reaction and no pointer) This bug is fixed on newer alpha version. You can use all functionality on the dashboard with v2.2.2-alpha.
As far as I can tell the back button isn't mappable, it would be nice to be able to use it as system button. We will obviously need the trigger button as the trigger ;)
@TheOneRing Yes. I will add back button mapping on next alpha release. You can also assign back button using FreePIE on latest alpha.
Nice, now with remapping the back button I was able to play some of the "The Lab" worlds
Thanks for the instructions on mapping, Dashboard comes up nicely mapped to trackpad click!
Actually, when I got the Dashboard mapped to the trackpad click, my Xbox controller quit working! Oddly, I didn't notice at first because it's fine with Revive games but not with normal Steam VR games.
I must be missing something-how do I launch the Dashboard to run games? I can't get any overlay to come up, only the SteamVR background. If I run home beta, I also cannot get a game listing-clicking on the wall does nothing.
