Annotating genetic interactions in diploids #2860

Closed PCarme closed 1 month ago

PCarme commented 1 month ago

I have recently been reviewing 2 community curation sessions for papers containing genetic interactions in diploid strains (PMID:39174851 and PMID:34067465), but this cannot be captured in Canto.

@kimrutherford I had the same problem in #2816, and you were able to manually add the annotations on PomBase. I guess I will need some of your developer magic here too !

Hi Pascal. No problem.

Could make all the genotypes and phenotypes as usual. Then tell me the session IDs, and which double and single allele genotypes should be in the new genetics interactions. I'll need the interaction types too.

Thanks!

Thanks Kim ! So first in session 51fe04707302115 Interaction of type "Phenotypic Enhancement" between these 2 annotations:

Then in session 8a93d8122afe38cd Interactions of type "Phenotypic Enhancement"

Interactions of type "Phenotypic Suppression"

I hope this is clear, let me know if you need more information.

Hi @PCarme

On desktop I've had an attempt to make the first interaction, for crs1Δ / crs1Δ cig2Δ / cig2Δ. Is this correct?

Hi @kimrutherford, yes this is perfect.

I've added the other interactions to the test Canto running on my desktop. Could you check that the interactions are correct?:

If they are OK I'll run the same commands on the main Canto.

Thanks.

Hi @kimrutherford, that's all good. Thanks !

Those interactions are now in the sessions:

I hope it's all OK.

All good, we can close this issue. Thanks Kim !
