query MAPK cascade involved in ascospore formation #1078

Is this a 'thing' MAPK cascade involved in ascospore formation

(isn't the MAPK pathway really regulating conjugation, not ascospore formation?)

I think it regulates both. If you have a diploid (=mimicking a 'conjugated' cell) with mutations in this pathway then the cell cannot sporulate.
