The Paf1 complex factors Leo1 and Paf1 promote local histone turnover to modulate chromatin states in fission yeast. Sadeghi L1, Prasad P1, Ekwall K2, Cohen A3, Svensson JP2. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26518661/
Seems to emphasise the role in histone turnover. However, this is somehow related to maintaining chromatin states for active transcription which isn't captured
(is this the complex which allows txn through facultative heterochromatin? i.e enables elongation through difficult regions?
this also boundary formation To test this, we examined Epe1 turnover, which is mediated by the Cul4 Ddb1-Cdt2 ubiquitin ligase complex in S-phase (Braun et al., 2011). https://www.pombase.org/reference/PMID:21215368
