Add links to pombase from wikipedia gene pages #2255

Two areas where we could add links.

The 'orthologs section' and maybe the 'external IDs section';, in the right hand side box

I'm guessing we can use Wikidata to upload these in a batch

Hmm not sure how we should approach this. If we add globally to everything it might get vetoed sonce no other MOD does it. However, it would be very cool, and certainly justifible for genes where fission yeast is the major model. I think these are different [age 'types' though.

What is the link for the first example? could you add it?

I wonder how you would identify all of these individual pages? Not every human gene has one...

I don’t understand why it would get vetoed? If someone is interested about a gene it is very useful to see where you can go and get more information on that gene?

And MGI is a Mod?

You wouldn’t edit Wikipedia, you would use wiki data. I guess that is how wiki gene pages are created, and guess they map them to Wikipedia pages
