klp9 separation of function #2430

I remember a discussion for GO a while ago that a kinesin motor could still have transporter activity without the ATPase domain. I'd like to revisit this.

This is a nice summary of klp9 separation of function (the motor protein in question may not have been klp9 , but this would still hold).

klp9 separation of function because I don't think this is possible?

Seems that these kinesins should also be annotated to "microtubule cross-linking activity" that term does not yet exist.
