Hi Midori,
in this particular experiment, they (..the researchers) show that their mutant contain reduced levels of PI-3-P (through smashing the cells up and doing chromatography).
Not sure what wording would be best to describe this; decreased accumulation of PI-3-P ? (there is already terms for decreased protein accumulation or decreased RNA accumulation, so perhaps we could have one for decreased accumulation of metabolite as a parent term to this term?)
