Decreased rna level during.... #215

Ok, so, a thought, I emailed about this because of a process term but now I'm also thinking about it in the context of phenotypes.

I want to capture the fact that in an atf mutant there is no gpx1 mRNA both during vegetative growth and during cellular response to H2O2.

I think what I have done previously is use 'decreased RNA level' synonymous to 'during vegetative growth' and then in cases where it is during something else I have captured this in an extension, possibly also with conditions. In retrospect this doesn't seem right.

If I request the term decreased RNA level during cellular response to hydrogen peroxide, should I also request during vegetative growth/mitosis/? so that I can distinguish the two?

In theory, we could do these either way

- with specific pre-composed terms; or

For phenotypes, we've been going with pre-composed terms in all but a few exceptional cases (like those colony color things), so I'm happy to add the 'during [whatever] growth' terms.

p.s. I would recommend using an extension if you want to specify that it's gpx1 mRNA that's decreased.
