we decided that decreased/abnormal meiotic sister kinetochore fusion in meiotic metaphase I is equivalent to sister kinetochore separation during meiosis I
normal meiosis I sister kinetochore association
These terms equational sister chromatid separation during meiosis I premature sister kinetochore separation and normal chromosome division in meiosis I, and unequal sister chromatid segregation in meiosis II
Should not be descendants of decreased meiotic sister kinetochore association in meiotic metaphase I
add synonyms decreased meiosis I sister kinetochore association in meiotic metaphase I synonym sister kinetochore separation during meiosis I Impaired meiotic sister kinetochore fusion
THIS WAS ADDRESSED IN https://github.com/pombase/fypo/issues/4374
Add "normal sister kinetochore fusion at meiosis I" FIX
Is increased sister centromere splitting in meiosis I PMID:33529549 the same as decreased meiosis I sister kinetochore association or are the subtly different?
(waiting for feedback)
NO THESE ARE DIFFERENT, SEE COMMENT BELOW
From the author
[x] I would like to place cds1∆ and sgo1∆ in a new category “normal meiotic sister kinetochore association in meiotic metaphase I”. ADD this term
[x] I also would like to place swi6∆ in “normal meiotic sister chromatid cohesion at centromere during meiosis I”. In addition,
[x] I would like you to add pat1-as1 in “decreased meiotic sister chromatid cohesion at centromere” with high severity.
NOte the kinetochore dissociation terms have the comment This term describes the premature separation of paired, intact sister kinetochores. It has a related synonym using "split kinetochores" because that phrase is often used in the literature to describe this phenotype. It should not be confused with the FYPO terms that have "split kinetochore" in the names, because those names refer to cases where a single kinetochore has broken into parts.
(NOTE: I don't think "split kinetochores is much used now to describe dissociated kinetochores)
