For this since the meaning of "orthogonal" ring is normal (at least that is what it seems, (i.e perpendicular)
I think we can say decreased rate of actomyosin contractile ring assembly from randomly oriented actomyosin filaments
parent decreased rate of actomyosin contractile ring assembly
does that sound OK?
If "rate of actomyosin contractile ring assembly" accounts for the increased duration of the assembly. sure. I just feel like "delayed" more clearly conveys the temporal aspect of the phenotype than "decreased rate".
Yes OK delayed is better here. v
@kimrutherford we need to add Pascal somewhere as PomBase:PC so I can add him as definition sources.

What is the process for that?
I think I found the file fypo/src/ontology/fypo-idranges.owl probably if I add a new ID range, I will be able to use PomBAse:PC as support for definitions. I tried to do this but it would not let me save. Will do it on next call.
New term : delayed orthogonal actomyosin contractile ring assembly from randomly oriented actomyosin filaments A cell phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which a cell exhibits randomly misoriented actin and myosin II filaments, eventually forming a regular orthogonal actomyosin contractile ring. Although the onset of filaments assembly is not delayed, the cell takes more time complete the formation of an orthogonal actomyosin contractile ring.
