question about invable spores #783

Is there a relationship between these 2 terms? val

FYPO:0002151 inviable spore FYPO:0000306 abolished spore germination

Hmm. Apparently things I did about two years apart haven't stayed totally consistent, because abolished spore germination has "inviable spore" as an exact synonym :/

For now I've deleted the synonym and added a has_part link.

It might make as much or more sense merge the terms, since I think it'd be pretty hard to detect that a spore is viable other than by seeing it germinate (in theory it could metabolize but not germinate, but would you ever bother to look for that? and if so, how?).

curator meeting - decided to:

merge 'inviable spore' and 'abolished spore germination'
use 'inviable spore' name and xp; keep other as synonym
do all logically consequent descendant merges
