missing F-P link annotation #445

Closed pombase-admin closed 9 years ago

http://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO/GTerm?id=GO:0008233#term=ancchart has an F-P link to proteolysis erm1 has proteolysis annotation on www (currently) from UniProtKB-KW:KW-0645.

I filtered the mapping so this annotation should disappear on stage (it has), but it should be replaced by an annotation derived from the F-P link (it hasn’t). Can anyone figure out why?

I think this is a version-synchronization issue that will sort itself out in a release or two. There's an erm1 annotation to GO:0006508 (proteolysis) in the "inferred GAF" that owltools generates with the v50 GAF as input, but it wasn't in previous inferred GAFs (I guess it didn't need to be inferred because the KW-based annotation was there).

It looks like Kim loads the most recently available inferred GAF from GO, but at present that would be one that doesn't have the inferred erm1 GO:0006508.

After I commit the v50 GAF to GO, Jenkins will create the same inferred GAF as I have locally, which will make the erm1 GO:0006508 annotation available for the next load, so it should get into our GAF by the time we're ready to set v51 on the release path.

OK that makes sense. I remember now it does take a cycle to fix these.
