The option "Also set the modification date of single top-level items" in 2.0RC is confusing #180

What exactly does it mean? Also, is this option that frequently modified to 
deserve a spot on the 
GUI?

Apparently enough for several people to request it. Not going to do any UI 
changes at this point, though, so 
making it clearer would have to wait for a future UI cleanup.
