Fix MVP visualization Example created by @PolarisMusic on Pomelo Bounties

Summary

*"Fix MVP Example

We are looking for a skilled developer to fix a specific issue with our MVP example. The task involves making the UI work in a predictable way for our test users, in order to evaluate the design and determine if it needs refinement.

The issue is related to the file https://github.com/UrsaPolarisRecords/Polaris/blob/main/MVP%20Example/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example2.js. Currently, the example at https://philogb.github.io/jit/static/v20/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example1.html moves smoothly, but the example at https://github.com/UrsaPolarisRecords/Polaris/blob/main/MVP%20Example/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example2.html has a separate layer on top that moves independently and does not display nodes and edges properly. Clicking on labels also causes issues with the graph.

We are looking for someone to propose solutions and implement them.

User Story

As a Test user of a demonstration UI, I would like the UI to work in a predicable way in order to Evaluate whether the design is worth pursuing or needs refinement.

Description

This is regarding the file https://github.com/UrsaPolarisRecords/Polaris/blob/main/MVP%20Example/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example2.js

The example at https://philogb.github.io/jit/static/v20/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example1.html moves nicely.

The example at https://github.com/UrsaPolarisRecords/Polaris/blob/main/MVP%20Example/Jit/Examples/Hypertree/example2.html has a separate layer on top, which currently moves independently of the layer below it, and does not display the nodes and edges, only the labels. If you click the labels on the groups the graph goes all wonky. Not sure why.

I have a lot of experience with the d3 library and I'm sure some of that knowledge will transfer over. I am busy for the next three weeks but I should be able to complete the issue by April.

I have around seven years of experience with data visualization, and another 10 years of javascript background. It looks like there may be an issue with the underlying library. I could likely complete this within two weeks.
