Public web site for marketing #539

We should create a public landing page at Corkheads.com

It should give a quick overview of the app. Contain links to Fredriks lovely videos, and show the community check ins in a stream.

Ok, here's what I have. @pomle and @Sleni82 take a look and maybe you can give me some feedback during our Tuesday meeting?

The live activity feed will be slowly scrolling to the left, automatically. It doesn't need to go through all of the app's activity, just maybe the most recent ~10 items?

Desktop: landing-desktop

Mobile: landing-mobile

Oops, just realized I left placeholder text in the hero image. Will of course fix that.

That looks absolutley amazing. Great stuff @EMDirks . Only have one question around the spelling of whiskeys? :) Whiskies? Whiskys? I could google perhaps

I agonized over that for so long. If we're using 'whisky,' then 'whiskies' is the correct plural. But I don't like how that looks, so I went with 'whiskeys' in the headline.

I suppose we should be consistent though!

Grammar and language is kind of arbitrary. We could use whisky's or whiskyz even. There is a lot of word pwning on the net and as far as marketing is concerned its good to stand out.

Agree. Whiskies looks like cat food brand. Perhaps Sals sugggestion Whisky's could work or how does that feel for you as an american? :)
