Random System UI Restarts

Vendor version: MOLY.LR13.R1.MP.V93.P47,MOLY.LR13.R1.MP.V93.P47

Expected Behavior

There should be no random restarts.

Current Behavior

The SystemUI randomly restarts, and the Android logo appears. Then you have to unlock the phone, and the app you're using is not active anymore, losing any filled-in information or progress.

Possible Solution

Not sure.

Steps to Reproduce

1. It is random, so I can't really reproduce it. Although, it does happen a minute or so after I restart my phone everytime.

Can't see any SystemUI restart on that log. Was this retrieved during a restart?

When the Android logo appears, is it the SystemUI that restarts or is it the phone that reboots? I'm not sure if I worded it right.

i think its because anr 5 seconds timeout activity manager kill systemui sometime its kill important java process so zygote got restarted

or its because unsupported kernel bpf?

Same issue for me as well. Device Infinix x689B. Build number: treble_arm64_bgN-userdebug 14 UQ1A.231205.015.A1 eng.ponces.20231217.141736 release-keys

Every reboot is like two reboots. After the device restarts, within 1-2 minutes the device reboots again automatically, the "android" logo appears. The 2nd one is very short kind of reboot. I have also noticed auto reboots in random times as well.

After the latest update, I can't flash the magisk patched boot img as well. The flashing finishes perfectly, but after the "fastboot reboot" command, the device gets stuck in the stock recovery mode. To get my device running again, stock boot.img flashing only helps. So Root is not working.

Any solution?

Unfortunately, the latest update didn't fix these annoying reboots. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Magisk worked perfectly for me in the previous version. The lastest update is killing me. There are other issues as well, like, while in a call or using earphone, the device seems confused where to put the sound output. I get auto loudspeaker while talking over a call and can't change it. Using earphone doesn't trigger any changes, I get two sounds, both the earphone and the phone speaker. Checked the earphone with the other devices, its fine. The package installer also crashes, and after a reboot yt revanced and yt music revanced automatically vanishes.

I am in a mess completely :(

Yes, the latest build has issues. I'm facing the following:

Sometimes, when using the headphones, the sound comes through the headphones as well as the speakers.
Can't change the clock style on the lock screen.
Random reboots.
No fingerprint lock.

Are you facing any of these other issues as well, @mustahids1 ?

Definitely Facing the 1 & 3 issues Not facing the fourth issue. About the 2nd one, no idea. Haven't tried to change it yet.

I hope and pray that the devs check these out.

I have gone back to my stock rom. Seems like there is no stable/bugless custom rom/gsi for my infinix hot 10s :( sad

I haven't tried vndklite version yet. My treble info says "system-arm64-ab.img.xz" Not sure about the compatibility.

Treble Info app's readings on the stock ROM are the correct ones. Once you install the GSI, it doesn't detect that you have VNDKLITE.

Ok. If I decide to flash LineageOS, I'll flash TD in between and let you know how it goes.

Yes, I tried LineageOS 20 TD. It didn't restart, but some apps like Foodpanda don't work on it. I'm back on this GSI now because, other than the restarts, it is pretty much the best VNDKLITE option for me right now.

Was this so easily reproduced? Were they frequently occuring?

Yes, they were occurring more frequently since the last update. And a restart always occurred right after whenever I manually restarted the phone.

But so far so good with this test build!

How's your battery doing? Is the battery backup normal, like before? Or have you noticed any changes? I noticed that even when the phone is locked (screen off), there is significant amount of battery drainage. Can't find out what's draining my battery even when I am not using it.

Exactly. I have a fast charger but the phone is charging very slowly and draining fast.
