Comparing number of results returned by API and website #2

Are number of results returned by BOSS API are equal to results returned when 
yahoo is searched 
through browser?

When I search the string "yahoo search" through yahoo website . I got 
107,000,000 results. 
However, when i search the same string"\"yahoo search\"" through the API, I got 
4344562 results. 

Why number of results are different in these two cases?

I downloaded the API few days ago.

I don't know the answer to this, sorry.  I'd suggest reading the Yahoo! BOSS 
documentation http://developer.yahoo.com/search/boss/ there may be more on this 
in 
there..
