How did you upgrade to 21.04? (Fresh install / Upgrade) I did a fresh install on my laptop.

Issue/Bug Description: 1, Brightness adjustment is not working,

  1. Power modes don't seem to do anything and I cant find them in the setting menu, only top bar.
  2. Settings>Desktop>Dock>Dock Options the show launcher/applications/workspaces doesn't work

(also additionally GSConnect is randomly disconnecting with my phone, I don't know is that a bug in pop-os or something to do with gsconnect)

Other Notes: Some information on the system I use if its of any help. I did modify it but the issues were present before the modifications so that shouldn't be the issue.

Thank you for trying the beta.

  1. Settings>Desktop>Dock>Dock Options the show launcher/applications/workspaces doesn't work

I cannot recreate this. I did try changing my shell to fish just in case that mattered. This functionality was implemented in https://github.com/pop-os/desktop-widget/pull/15, two days after this issue was opened, so it's been fixed.

  1. Power modes don't seem to do anything and I cant find them in the setting menu, only top bar.

The power profiles change some settings in the background with regards to CPU turbo-boost options, but they don't have any visible effect except for changing the screen brightness, so if screen brightness isn't working on your machine, then you may not notice any difference. You should be able to check the profile with system76-power profile in a terminal. (The power profiles are not part of any Settings page at this time, so that is expected.)

1, Brightness adjustment is not working,

This is probably an issue with the particular model of LCD panel in your laptop, and would need to be fixed either in the upstream Linux kernel or in a firmware update from your device manufacturer (which looks like Lenovo.) We can only guarantee hardware compatibility with System76 products. If the brightness adjustment works in regular Ubuntu, then we can look into this further to find out what in Pop!_OS specifically could be breaking it.
