How did you upgrade to 21.04? (Fresh install / Upgrade)

upgraded from previous version to 21.04, same issue on both version

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME):

bluetooth

Issue/Bug Description: Bluetooth mouse and keyboard don't work initially on login until you move your mouse around for a couple of seconds and type on the keyboard. After a couple seconds you can login like normal. After you login and the system boots it has another period of "lag" where mouse stops working and keyboard doesn't work, but shortly after it starts to work again.

Steps to reproduce (if you know): MX Master 3 mouse with ERGO K80 keyboard both with dongles plugged in, but also setup with bluetooth.

Expected behavior: The system at the very least shouldn't lag when booting into the system and keyboard and mouse. The connection should be consistent from login to gnome shell desktop.

Just to clarify, you're saying this issue is not specific to the 21.04 beta, but is also happening in 20.10?

Goddard commented 3 years ago

yes, happens in both versions of popos.

What hardware are you using? Is this a System76 computer, or something else? What motherboard and wireless card are in the computer?

Goddard commented 3 years ago

The board is Aorus Gigabyte Gaming 7 x399. It is a threadripper board. Running a 1950x and the stock bluetooth from the motherboard.
