Application loses focus every 1-2 minutes after recent upgrades to pop-cosmic 0.1.0~1638972571~21.10~0476b1d #333

How did you upgrade to 21.10? (Fresh install / Upgrade)

upgrade from 21.04

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME):

pop-cosmic:

Issue/Bug Description: Application loses focus every 1-2 minutes. This makes the system unusable for productive work.

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

  1. Open a terminal
  2. Wait for 90 seconds, the terminal will lose focus.

Expected behavior: This focus stealing shouldn't happen.

Other Notes:

Workaround: disabling the "Pop COSMIC" Gnome Shell extension is a workaround to the problem.

Issue/Bug Description: I could not tell if my apps are loosing focus, but text boxes were certainly loosing focus for me

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

  1. Select a text box
  2. Start typing
  3. Shortly, the text box will loose focus, and key presses will be sent to the ether

Expected behavior: Text box continues receiving keyboard input

If you open your gnome-extensions-app does Pop COSMIC show as an error?

I don't think they'd be able to disable/enable it if it was failing to start.

Yes I am asking if it failed to start.

I did not and still don't have any errors in my Extensions app
