Kernel 6.11 & 6.12: Minimize & maximize are delayed & maximizing the terminal freezes the session #739

I thought it's only a kernel issue, but I tried it with GNOME again using the current kernel 6.11.0-0.rc3.20240816gtd7a5aa4b.333.vanilla.fc40.x86_64 and it didn't freeze. It did freeze before though with this kernel: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/3520

I can minimize & maximize Firefox now, but it takes a second before the action is executed in COSMIC. Maximizing cosmic-term freezes the session though (but not in GNOME).

Follow-up: Problem still present, last tested with kernel 6.11.0-363 on Fedora 40.

Ok, the problem prolly has something to do with the Copr packages of COSMIC for Fedora 40. Updating to Fedora 41 fixed the problem.

Update: Seems like it's still freezing on 41. For some reason an old cosmic-comp was installed after upgrading to Fedora 41. Only workaround for now is to use sudo dnf downgrade cosmic-comp which will install then version 0.1.0~git20240514.00.36bf611 from the fedora repo or to downgrade to a kernel that's not higher than kernel 6.10.
