Bug that fcitx5 conversion candidates suffer from input destination #1103

This bug seems to be caused by the combination of gnome(wayland) and fcitx5. I wish you could add the input-method-panel of gnome-extension as a solution to this problem. My native language is Japanese, but I think that Korean, Chinese, and other Asian languages may have the same problem if they use an IME that converts from Roman input. Input Method Panel

this post in my language

Trying to parse this, it sounds like you're saying the issue is that the conversion candidate dropdown/popup sometimes covers up where you're typing (making it difficult to see what you're working on), and you're requesting a COSMIC applet or COSMIC feature that would allow you to see the candidate list e.g. in a dropdown from the panel or elsewhere on the screen, rather than right where the cursor is? Is that an accurate summary?

(This repo is for COSMIC Epoch, which is not based on GNOME and would not be able to use GNOME Extensions. So any desired functionality from GNOME extensions would need to be implemented in a COSMIC applet, elsewhere in COSMIC, or in a separate application.)

That interpretation, I also installed the cosmic group using pacman in Manjaro. It looks like I made a mistake in filing an issue, sorry. By the way, there is a screenshot as one example of how it works. screenshot-2024-10-11-04-11-56

I believe the actual bug report would be this. I have tested fcitx5 mozc on my side as well and encounter the same issue where the candidate list blocks the input. screenshot-2024-10-31-08-57-48
