Do you have more details on the game¸ launcher, and GPU configuration? Have you tried the latest cosmic-comp update from this morning?
Hello @mmstick, the game uses a closed source launcher by the developers and is installed via lutris with this script: https://lutris.net/games/install/38671/view
Changing wine versions makes no to little differences. I usually use GE-Proton but the install script uses normal wine. Both have this bug.
Not sure what the exact difference of COSMIC to other Wayland Desktops is here or how that effects this game launcher, but it does. I always have to switch to KDE Plasma to play it because of this bug.
I run my hardware only with drivers Pop!_OS comes with itself. So standard open source AMD driver Mesa in this case:
$ glxinfo | grep -i "vendor|rendering" direct rendering: Yes server glx vendor string: SGI client glx vendor string: Mesa Project and SGI Vendor: AMD (0x1002) OpenGL vendor string: AMD
Another update. When I turn off the automatic tiling it shows some of the UI but not the relevant parts. EDIT: Sometimes when I launch it shows some of the UI but not the relevant parts. None of it is interactable either. Basically the same as the black screen but prettier:
Not sure if this is related to the tiling or what have you but maybe this detail helps finding out what the issue is.
Updated again today and still the same issue. I will post again if anything changes.
@ghost9742 I dont see any displays that don't exist. Seems like a you-thing in that case/unrelated to this. My assumption is theres an issue with how COSMIC displays certain windows still.
Basically doesn't show the "play" button to launch the game (I think it's electron based?). Works on KDE Wayland without issues. I'm on 24.04.
