I face kind of similar issue : https://github.com/lilyinstarlight/nixos-cosmic/issues/271
After looking at @Thatoo's issue, I tried installing NetworkManager-applet
, and I now also have a working icon for NetworkManager, but the COSMIC one is still broken
Details
Expected behavior: wifi should remain enabled after being toggled on, and it should show a list of available networks.
Actual behavior: after enabling wifi, a blank space is visible under "Visible Wireless Networks". The wifi toggle turns itself off after about 3 seconds, and the blank space disappears.
Steps to reproduce: Attempt to enable wifi. Consistent across reboots.
Distribution: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed
Kernel version: 6.10.5-1-default
CPU: Ryzen 9 7900 (24 threads)
RAM: 32 GB
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070
Network controller: MediaTek MT7922
Notes
Applet has a disconnected ethernet icon
Issue is similar to #701
Wifi works via nmcli
COSMIC is installed along side Plasma. I installed by adding this repo: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/COSMIC:/Factory/openSUSE_Factory/ and then installing everything in that repo except "patterns-cosmic-cosmic". If I'm missing a package, let me know
