Custom COSMIC applet Not Showing in Panel Settings
What I'm Doing
I'm working on creating a custom applet for COSMIC. I have figured out how to manually add it to the Panel, but it does not show up in the Panel Settings.
What OS am I Using?
Pop!OS 24.04 Alpha
Fedora 40 w/COSMIC installed
Where I Put the Files
Executable: /usr/bin/
.desktop: /usr/share/applications/
Icon: /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/
What Config Files I Changed
To get the applet in the Panel manually, I added it to .config/cosmic/com.system76.CosmicPanel.Panel/plugins_wings
What Needs to be Done?
It looks like the settings application Panel page is only getting the default list of applets and not updating when one outside of the default list is created.
If this is correct, the settings application Panel page needs to be able to find custom applets and add them to the list of applets that can be added and removed.
