[Feature Request] Search in the current directory without having to click the search icon or the shortcut Ctrl+F #220

I really like how fast the search was in Gnome's Files application, where we could search directly by typing. It was much more faster.

I really like to press the first letter of a file or folder in a directory to quickly select it. It's much faster than searching if the contents have very different names. Also, I can't stand that behavior in Nautilus. I use a HDD to store everything and (as I know where everything is) and I breeze through my folders in Dolphin, however, it's a pain on Nautilus. ;/

Maybe they could add an option for both of us :D

We were planning to implement the type to select feature instead of type to search.

@Julioau Definitely! Type to select also seems interesting.
