This may be fixed by the explicit sync drivers.

Can these be installed on Pop and enabled on COSMIC?

mmstick commented 2 months ago

The driver and egl-wayland packages are in staging repositories, while the protocol isn't yet integrated into cosmic-comp. You can watch https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-comp/pull/411

What version of the panel are you using?

Latest from the repos but this issue has been present since I started using COSMIC.

Ok, I've got an idea about how to (possibly) fix it, but I'm not able to replicate the issue. I'll keep you updated.

i tested the Explicit sync PR for cosmic comp it didn't get rid of the issue but make the experience on cosmic de better

any update on this?

I feel like this might be a good issue to include in the Alpha 1 milestone. It's quite noticeable/jarring when compared to other issues.

Hi, I was out last week, and haven't gotten around to it. I'll be working on a possible fix now though, as I am back, and link the PR when it is ready.

This issue is probably fixed now that the overflow branch is merged.

I'm running inside Fedora on Virtual Machine Manager but still have this issue after upgrading.

wash2 commented 3 weeks ago

I guess the Fedora package may not have been updated yet?

nebrelbug commented 2 weeks ago

Turns out that was the issue, I just had issues w/ my COPR repository! Can confirm it works great now.

Great, thanks for following up!
