similar to what xrandr can do (link, might be a better guide elsewhere though)
would be useful on ultrawides, and more useful on super ultrawides, can be used to watch video in full screen while working on something, and maybe even in the context of streaming on linux (for those who already have the screen real estate, and just need more control of how its used)
