This is a feature that KDE Plasma and Microsoft Windows both have.
When you copy-paste a new object in the clipboard, the object should be added to a stack along with previous clipboard content. You can click on a previous row to paste it, and put it back on top of the stack.
This is currently possible with gnome addons (in particular diodon and Clipboard Indicator). But it would be better if that feature was integrated in the default environment, with a "clipboard" icon coherent with the pop-shell style.
