Well if I am not wrong, Gnome is working on the exact same feature for their desktop and I guess it will be out by version 42.
Do you have a source for this?
A quick duckduckgo search for "Gnome PrtScn" and similar keywords only shows old stackexchange threads and the like.
This is something I like in KDE plasma: when you press the "Print Screen" key, instead of copying the entire screen to the clipboard, it opens a "Screenshot" window with multiple options: whether you want to capture the entire screen or a specific window, where to save the screenshot (to the clipboard / to a file), etc.
PopOs should do the same by default. Right now there are screenshot apps you can get from the Pop Shop, but you have to manually open them. It would be better if one was hooked up to the PrtScn key by default.
