Currently, there are no option to change the background image when logging into pop os without doing some tinkering outside the settings menu. I think this would enhance greatly the user experience (we log everyday into pop os).

There's a PR open in the gtk-theme repo to make the background image customizable in the theme (although that wouldn't include a GUI to change it yet): https://github.com/pop-os/gtk-theme/pull/519

we log everyday into pop os

Some users leave themselves logged in and only suspend/lock their machine when not in use, so not everyone sees the GDM screen every day. It's also not a screen that needs to be seen for more than a few seconds when logging in. I'm generally for customization myself, but I'm not sure how well this would fit into the current set of settings (it might not fit with Desktop -> Background because it applies to all users, there's not really anywhere to put it in the Users page, etc.)
