I made a fork of popos gtk theme where the light variant is actually a light theme not a mix: https://github.com/Yuri6037/gtk-theme
EDIT: To install just use the standard build procedure, for flatpak it's incredibly more involved to build it. If you're using the 20.04 release then try the .flatpak I left in the repo
Describe the problem: Pop Gtk Theme currently has two options: Light and Dark. However, the light version still has a dark headerbar. This results in unreadable text in a few occasions, like for example Chrome/Chromium PWAs:
Besides that, it generates a nitpick a few people (including I) have. The brown headerbar does not fit well with third-party apps. Since it's a very unusual (albeit pretty) color scheme, non-GTK apps look really out of place with that headerbar. More neutral headerbar colors, like Adwaita or the recent Yaru-light themes, or even Pop-dark, look way better. Some examples:
Distribution: Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS
