Issue/Bug Description:
When launching the installer from the Activities favorites sidebar, the installer launches but the mouse and application on the Gnome shell bar show loading icons for around 20 seconds.
As a result, ff the "Try Demo Mode" button is pressed while the mouse and application are still "loading", then the window closes(expected) but the orange pill(indicating the application is still open) underneath the Installer application on the Gnome Activities favorites bar is still there for a number of additional seconds.
Steps to reproduce (if you know):
Boot Pop!_OS from bootable media.
Close the installer (I used xkill).
Open the installer from the favorites bar.
Notice the mouse loading icon and the loading icon on the Gnome shell bar.
