)With the latest Nvidia Driver (510.60.02), per instructions, neither HDMI nor Display Port output picture to a separate display. The OS recognizes that the external display exists (shown in display settings) but nothing appears on the display. Next step is to double check behaviour with only the driver, then with only the kernel.
journalctl logs (reverse chronology) for both HDMI and DP: external_hdmi_log.txt external_DP_log.txt
I installed this kernel on my desktop at home this weekend, and it would not boot after. It appears to be related to Aquantia ethernet:
I remember something similar happening before but it looks like it was fixed upstream on 5.15.4. We should probably make sure we don't break Aquantia again, since major-b3 also has Aquantia ethernet.
