Request for early patch: ALSA: hda/realtek: Enable 4-speaker output for Dell XPS 15 9520 laptop #142

Would it be possible to early patch the Pop!_OS kernel with the following:

The sound for this new Dell XPS 15 9520 model is terrible when running without this patch. So I'm now running a custom compiled kernel without Pop!_OS adjustments etc. But obviously would be perfect if I don't have to :-)

I also believe other people with this model would be extremely happy :-)

There's also patches available fr the XPS 9530 available here to work around the potential firmware SPI issue and get the subwoofers and pre-amp working. It's been tested on several kernels, I'm able to patch Arch based kernels with these fine and get all speakers working as designed on my XPS 9530.
