Graphical issues after suspend (Gnome + Nvidia) #102

Closed QEDeD closed 3 years ago

QEDeD commented 3 years ago

Distribution (run cat /etc/os-release): 20.10

Related Application and/or Package Version: Nvidia driver version: 460.73.01

Issue/Bug Description: After waking from suspend, the desktop is basically unusable and requires a reboot due to graphical glitching. Recording of the issue can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DpKkAcyt52_1RWns9obVrT0Xr0jogbuf/view?usp=sharing

Only certain applications seem to be affected, including Firefox and Dash to dock, however, Chromium doesn't seem to be affected.

Changing refresh rate or resolution doesn't help. Moving the affected application to another workspace doesn't help.

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

Expected behavior: Suspend shouldn't break anything.

Sorry for the delay in updating this issue. We weren't able to reproduce the issue on our lab units, and have since dropped support for 20.10. If you are still experiencing the issue on 21.04 and the latest Nvidia driver feel free to create a new issue.
