v20.10, problem with USB-C dock and multiple screens #1318

With the 20.10 update I am having problems with the external screens on a laptop (thinkpad x390) when docking and undocking. They are not waking up / do not get activated.

I get in the logs an error related to drm, which I think can be related [drm:drm_dp_check_act_status [drm_kms_helper]] ERROR Failed to get ACT after 3000ms, last status: 00

it is the same error message and problem as described in this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1880980

The monitors are going to sleep, and sometimes it is hard to even log in, it seems a bit random so far.

I have mitigated this by staying on kernel v5.4, seems to work.
