Screen flickers while going into suspend #1837

Issue/Bug Description: When engaging in suspend the processes is interrupted, the screen wakes, then the suspend resumes.

Steps to reproduce (if you know): launch suspend shortcut from launcher.

Expected behavior: Suspend completes without interruption.

Other Notes: This is the output of dmesg after suspending from the launcher.

What hardware is this? Is it a System76 computer, or third-party hardware?

With regards to the issue, are you just seeing the screen flicker once while suspending (this is fairly normal), or is it causing some other problem?

System76 customers can reach out to support for technical assistance. For non-System76 hardware, you can seek community support on Reddit or Mattermost.

With regards to the issue, are you just seeing the screen flicker once while suspending (this is fairly normal), or is it causing some other problem?

Custom PC (RX 580, R7 2700X) I tested with Fedora 34 and Ubuntu 21.04 and this problem did not occur.

Sorry I forgot to respond to this. The answer is that the screen flickers once.
