[Cinnamon DE] Keyboard key press repetition stops working after reboot #1926

Distribution (run cat /etc/os-release): PRETTY_NAME="Pop!_OS 21.04"

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME): OS

Issue/Bug Description: Keyboard repeat stopped working after reboot , i have to enter in the system panel and just move the sidebar.

Steps to reproduce (if you know): Reboot the pc , type and try to keep pressed a key

Expected behavior: the key pressed keeps repeating

Other Notes: Im using cinnamon as my desktop and my OS is up to date.

What hardware are you using?

Does the issue also occur with Cinnamon on an Ubuntu installation? This sounds like it would need to be fixed in Cinnamon or the Ubuntu packages for Cinnamon.

I did not test it with another DE , but since i installed Pop OS , besides the freeze that was corrected later, this keeps happening, the keyboard that i'm using is a Genius kb-16e scroll , is a very old keyboard and i been using the same for a least 12 years. If i just enter the keyboard config and slide a little bit the repeat option , works again , but is annoying doing this every time i boot up.

Does the issue also occur with Cinnamon on an Ubuntu installation? I didn't test it in ubuntu.
