How to contribute a translation to Pop!_OS？ #2529

How to contribute a translation to Pop!_OS ? I want to give Pop!_OScontribution translation. Is in https://l10n.elementary.io this website? Could you give me a list or website?

Thank you for your interest in contributing! We don't have a definitive list like Elementary has there, so you'd probably just have to look around in our github repos for applications that don't have translations already. I noticed you already helped contribute some translations to Repoman, and we definitely appreciate that.

Hey, I would also like to contribute. Could you please tell me where can I translate pop shell and pop desktop settings section? I can't find the .po files or something like this

@KotoWhiskas Not all repos will have translation files, and most that don't have them don't really have anything to translate anyway. But https://github.com/pop-os/gnome-control-center/ does have a po directory where you can find translations. Thanks for wanting to contribute!

Are there any plans to implement it? Because, for example, "workspaces" button remains English and application library is also English only

That's because the "Workspaces" text doesn't come from pop-shell. Pop-shell is mostly a tiling extension, so there isn't even much text to display from it. I believe "Workspaces" probably comes from https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic/

I don’t see strings from pop patched sections in these .po files. Upstream translation is fine, it’s pop specific additions are untranslated
