Authentication window opens and quickly closes when trying to connect to Wi-Fi #2763

Open ASOwnerYT opened 1 year ago

ASOwnerYT commented 1 year ago

Distribution (run cat /etc/os-release): Pop OS 22.04 LTS

Related Application and/or Package Version (run apt policy $PACKAGE NAME):

Not sure, could be a problem with settings application or WiFi drivers or something else

Issue/Bug Description:

When I try to connect to a WiFi network, for a split second an authentication window appears and then disappears. The only way I've only been able to connect to WiFi is by clicking "Connect to Hidden Network" in settings.

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

  1. Open the Wi-Fi tab in Settings
  2. Click on a Wi-Fi network
  3. A authentication window appears asking for the password, and then disappears instantly.

Expected behavior:

The authentication window should stay open and let me type in the password

This seems partially resolved after updating rtw88-dkms 0.6 and a reboot
