The output of lscpi
would be useful to know what wireless chip that you have, and you may be able to search the Internet for that specific model to see if there are any known workarounds or patches for the issue.
I ran lspci, since it gave me that as a recommendation to run instead. This was the output:

): ? Network Manager?Issue/Bug Description: My wifi card on my laptop doesn't get recognized on my laptop unless I start my laptop with my lid open. Once I log into my machine then I can close my laptop lip and use it as a desktop.
Steps to reproduce (if you know): Turn on, and immediately close lid. Log in and try to connect to wifi. It reads as if there is no wifi card present and suggest I plug in a wifi adapter.
Expected behavior: I should see wifi networks and connect normally.
Other Notes: I use my laptop as a desktop and have an hdmi port connected with external monitor along with mechanical keyboard and mx master wireless mouse, and logitech webcam. Just so you know my setup.
When I boot I immediately close my lid and log in. Now, I HAVE to keep my lid somewhat open and wait to log in then close it to get access to wifi network/internet.
