Have you installed hplip? and run it?
I have a followup on this. I installed hplip from the repository (sudo apt-get install hplip). Printer found ok, but when scanning it requires a plugin. When downloaded, I get the following error:
Uncompressing HPLIP 3.19.11 Plugin Self Extracting Archive.Extraction failed. Terminated error: Python gobject/dbus may be not installed \ gzip: stdout: Broken pipe error: Plug-in install failed.
Any idea how to sort this one out?
Thanks, JB
So I hooked up a newer hp printer to my pc running pop!_os. The printer is recognized and it showed that the the drivers were updated and installed but when I select to print an item it acts like it’s going to print but never sends to the printer. What is going on and how do I fix it. I tried running some ubuntu commands and it just tells me that the process request are failing no additional information available. Can someone help me from step one.
