PoP-OS is back to usable state on RPI4.
No more delay on Firefox, rpi-imager and gnome-sudoku and many others. CPU usage is back to normal.
One, or more, of these packages on last dist-upgrade are responsible:
bind9-dnsutils bind9-host bind9-libs firefox firefox-locale-pt fwupd libfwupd2 libpop-desktop-widget libssl-dev libssl1.1 libxml2 libxml2-dev openssl pop-default-settings popsicle popsicle-gtk system76-power
Thanks for anyone who made PoP-OS usable again, but in meanwhile I had to migrate to Ubuntu 22.04 and it is OK.
Is there a forum or other place where I can discuss about features, problems on PoP-OS.
Nobody have dropped a single line for this issue and others.
Thanks,
After watching this "DIOLINUX" video:
Is PoP-OS lying about system76 scheduler? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgWDNpxROqY&t=417s
I notice that scheduler was the responsible for slowness on RPI4 reported here.
So, after 10 hard days of slowness an update of system76-power brought performance back to the system.
Thanks for all comments.
How did you upgrade to 21.10? (Fresh install / Upgrade)
Fresh install.
Related Application and/or Package Version (run
apt policy $PACKAGE NAME
):Issue/Bug Description: After last apt dist-upgrade (see below) Youtube on Firefox became very sluggish and sound cutting, cutting... Before this upgrade firefox was very decent and competent. I had to install chromium and it is ok (just tales a long time to initiate (snap)). I want to go back to Firefox, my prefered browser.
Thanks, Cury
