Also look at how well pinch and spread for zoom in/out are working in touchegg for possibly enabling them.

1-1 Workspace animations should be possible, but it might require a GNOME Shell extension. However, I've successfully got this working with a modified version of https://github.com/JoseExposito/gnome-shell-extension-x11gestures

@WatchMkr TouchEgg doesn't seem to allow switching from vertical swipes to horizontal swipes with a single gesture. I can set it up to switch through multiple windows in an single axis, although it's very easy to overshoot the window you want because the gesture is very sensitive and it runs the switch-window command whenever it detects movement since the last time it ran. It might be possible to use Touchegg from within COSMIC directly and thus perform some filtering to improve the behavior.

Pinch-zoom seems to be working pretty well on my end.
