Move statusbar into titlebar #74

How about to move all information from statusbar to titlebar? It's just my suggestion but I think removing statusbar and replacing it by titlebar would make Pictus more minimalistic and it will free more screen space for an image.

You haven't heard of F11?

FawayTT commented 7 years ago

Your F11 is not working and I wasn't asking for fullscreen mode, but for even more minimalistic, compact look.

I'm not opposed of (optionally?) getting rid of the status bar, I usually keep it turned off. However, not exactly sure how to replace it since available screen-space can get pretty small thanks to "Resize window to fit image".

I am pleased with the current state of Pictus and I am strongly against dumbing down the interface Firefox-style. If the status bar would be removed in the future releases I will keep the last version which has a status bar.

Optionally it wouldn't be bad, I could see it similar to how foobar2000 can customize the titlebar text via title formatting variables. Though not sure about others but from my experience nearly all the images I open in Pictus truncate just the filename alone because of the window size, so any additional text would only able to be seen when the image is maximized, reducing the effectiveness of the concept.
