Provide a scriptable non-plugin version #5

Clearly, this extension is super-awesome.  It's so awesome, that I'd like to be 
able to have it live as a separate web page that I could open.  

That way, we could more easily write scripts to control it (from AppleScript on 
a mac, for example).

I suspect that this has the potential to lead to what you are looking for.  
Also of note is that it has been ported to a number of platforms (including OS 
X).
