Scope

We want to evaluate other design systems and latest figma features to ideate and define best practices improving our library quality/consistency with code.

Notes

• Focus on value-effort. Do not include modes / variants if they can not be covered with easy implementation.
• Global file for Styles & Assets -> Nest in Web / App Library also as variables
• Theming with variables
• Sizing with variables (prepare for app and productive)
• Typography as styles
• When building Figma V2: Cover edge cases (long content/small viewports, e.g. 320px) and not supported cases (super long content/<320px) -> Consider: Min-/Max-Width/Height feature
• Consider REM vs PX rule for spacings (see https://github.com/porsche-design-system/porsche-design-system/issues/2351)

Out of scope

• Handling 200% Text Zoom, High Contrast Mode?
• No global components for the beginning -> Start with Web / App
• No responsive media query variables
• No RTL support

Acceptance Criteria

• [x] Ideas for Figma library creation evaluated and solution measurements defined and prioritized (effort-value)
