This is great. Thanks for the work. (I was just about to do the same, but you saved me the effort.)

My only question: Why not submit it as an official formula?

I don't know why the removed newsbeuter from the homebrew repository, but I would like to wait for an official 2.6 release of newsbeuter that does not requires additional patches anymore.
