Repeated prompting for "allow incoming network connections" #2586

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Install or update Positron
  2. Restart computer

The following prompt is shown each time, even after explictly adding Positron to the list of applications for which incoming connections should be accepted image

What did you expect to happen?

I would expect to only need to accept this message one time

Were there any error messages in the output or Developer Tools console?

This is showing up for me in VS Code now too, so I wonder if it's related to some extension I have installed...

I think this comes from the Python extension.

We had a user report something similar or maybe related but for R itself. 🤔
